Connection is a living and breathing encounter unfolding through the lenses of our histories, lived experiences, and hopes. Thriving Tree leans into this relationship from the land of the ancient Adena and later Hopewell cultures. While we don’t know their cultures entirely, their reverence and ingenuity remain evident in the mounds they built. More recently, the Myaamia and Shawnee Nations and Kaskaskia Tribe have been caregivers of this land. Like their ancestors, they possess deep wells of respect, creativity, strength, understanding, and brilliance.
